OUR PURPOSE
At Lutheran Church of the Master our purpose is twofold: to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, and live out our faith in loving service for others.
The photo on this page is of Wartburg Castle in Eisenach, Germany. Over a period of nine months, Martin Luther was hidden here for his protection. He used this time to translate the New Testament into German in order that the people might read for themselves the Good News of Jesus Christ.
BELIEVING AND BELONGING
It's just a fact; people can often be lonelier in big cities and sprawling suburbs than in small towns and rural areas. The bigger the city, the lower the depth of individual relationships. Many are looking for meaningful connection and intimacy. They are looking for family, a place where believing and belonging go together. If you come from a part of the country where the small church is valued, then you know what we mean. If you have never experienced a small church then you owe it to yourself to check us out.
At Lutheran Church of the Master you are not part of a crowd. You are part of a family.
Lutheran Church of the Master is located in the beautiful seaside community of Corona del Mar/ Newport Beach, California. Since 1957 our congregation has lifted high the cross of Jesus Christ, proclaiming the Good News of God's love, mercy and grace. We invite you to worship with us at 10AM, Sunday mornings. Lutheran worship provides stability in an often chaotic, fast-paced world. We value warmth and solemnity in our worship, which gives us relief from the rush and demands of daily life. Most importantly, we come together to hear God's truthful, gracious Word. For in that Word is our life.
We look forward to welcoming you.
