The Gospel of Mark

Five hundred years ago a monk in a backwater town at the edge of Germany took on the most powerful institution in Europe—the Holy Roman Catholic Church.

Martin Luther’s Reformation ranks among the most successful religious movements in history, altering western society and culture forever, and was a testament to his creative use of communications, notably rapidly evolving print technology, to promote his views. To mark the historic anniversary of Luther posting the Ninety-Five Theses to the church door in Wittenberg in 1517, our Church Library is providing you the opportunity to explore Luther's Reformation through text and art. Our Church Library's Reformation exhibit includes:

Hardbound reproduction of the Gutenberg Bible.

Two-Volume set featuring the current Reformation exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

The complete collection of Martin Luther's Writings.

DVD's and CD's on Luther and Lutheranism.

Books dealing with Luther, Reformation history, and the Lutheran Church.

Additional items will be added throughout the year. Stop in at the library and have a look.
